Comfortable and warm in the stable with a stable rug
Also when stabled, your horse could use a nice rug. MHS offers a wide range of stable rugs that keep your horse at the right temperature, even while stabled. A stable is usually not a fully enclosed space and can become quite cold or even windy. And does your horse go out? Then this rug, together with a rain rug or winter blanket, provides a pleasant transition between temperatures when it rains because a stable rug is often not waterproof.
What should you consider when buying a stable rug?
There are a few things to think about when buying a stable rug. It must be made of a flexible material so that your horse can have freedom of movement. The quality and strength of the material are also very important. If your horse lies down in the stable, the rug soon comes into contact with manure, mud or urine. A stable rug should, therefore, be washed more frequently than a standard blanket. The rugs in our assortment are without exception abrasion resistant and of excellent quality, so you can rest assured that your blanket will withstand many washes.
Pay sufficient attention to the fitting of the blanket to perfectly match your horse. Note the upper and lower length and the width. Want to know which blanket will fit your horse perfectly? The rug sizes on the website are the lower lengths, measured from the centre of the chest to the back of the buttocks where you want the blanket to end. Do you still have any questions about the size? Please let us know and we will gladly advise you. You can find it in our measurement table, where you will find the sizes of the blankets by brand.
